MORNING: ANCIENT AND MONUMENTAL ROME
1. Piazza della Repubblica (5 min walk) Admire the scenic Fountain of the Naiads and the imposing Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, designed by Michelangelo.
2. Via Nazionale → Imperial Forums (10 min walk) Walk down Via Nazionale to reach the majestic Imperial Forums, the heart of ancient Rome.
3. Colosseum and Arch of Constantine (5 min walk from the Forums) Visit the ultimate symbol of the Eternal City. If you wish to enter, we recommend purchasing tickets in advance.
RECOMMENDED LUNCH BREAK
• Monti area (between the Colosseum and Via Nazionale): small bistros, traditional Roman trattorias, and modern restaurants where you can enjoy carbonara, amatriciana, or Roman-style pizza.
AFTERNOON: HISTORIC CENTER AND FOUNTAINS
4. Piazza Venezia and Altar of the Fatherland (10–15 min walk) Climb up to the Vittoriano for a breathtaking view of the city.
5. Trevi Fountain (10 min walk) Don’t forget to toss a coin into the fountain to ensure your return to Rome!
